Burger of the Month Club – Cordial Inn, Brookfield

Pre-meal conversation:

  • Jamesons and Bushmills and Protestant vs Catholic whiskey.
  • Racism in Chicago.
  • Soul food and Jazz in Atlanta.
  • Irish food in the suburbs.
  • Boston.
  • Parking at Cordial Inn.
  • Jah Jah recruiting for F3 at the bar.

After an exciting start to the evening, a few more PAX arrived so we decided it was time to place our burger order and grab a table. There were plenty of TVs to watch every live game including the American cricket team. Before the next over, our burgers arrived.

Service was efficient and fast, but not overly friendly. The entire bar, grill and dining area is not much larger than a double-wide trailer. We had plenty of room at our table and there’s an entire section in the back for slots. The only window offered an excellent view of gas pump #5.

Burgers ratings came in at a strong 4.0 and with the overall ranking at an unbelievable 4.3 for this dive bar — tying for first with Nick’s.

Big Wheel wonders what he missed at this place, with his rating significantly lower for both burger and overall.
